Every day is a new day; find the joy.

Last week after learning about the US Lighthouse Society's Passport Club, I immediately became a member, and this past weekend, I received my first stamp in my passport. The Barcelona Lighthouse in Westfield, New York, as it states on the stamp the lighthouse is the first natural gas lighthouse in the world. This is my first stamp. Every day is a new day to go on an adventure.

This weekend was full of relaxation, fresh air, fun, and laughter. The adventure began with a stop at the lighthouse and was followed by dinner at The Library Pub & Grill in Corry, Pennsylvania. The building for Corry Public Library was built in 1917; the library was moved to a new location in 1996. The Library Pub & Grill has resided there ever since. The ambiance was historical, with many bookshelves filled with books and memorabilia. The food was delicious, with a nice variety of beers on tap and the service and staff were more than exemplary.

Then it was off to a cabin in the woods to enjoy the fall foliage, fresh air, campfires, and friends. There is something about being out in nature, away from the hustle of regular life - work, chores, etc.- and unplugging a bit from technology.
